Early Talk Boost is a targeted intervention programme for children aged 3-4 years old that have delayed language development.

Our training session will give participants the skills and knowledge to understand the rationale behind Early Talk Boost, identify appropriate children, measure their progress and deliver the intervention successfully. With clear measureable outcomes and a focus on improving learning, the programme is considered an excellent investment of pupil premium funding.

The programme is designed to be carried out by early years practitioners, not necessarily teachers. In order for the programme to be as successful as possible, it is important for the practitioner delivering the programme to receive the training.  For further information, contact our Early Talk Boost facilitator, Angie Fernyhough at a.fernyhough@swsf.org or visit www.ican.org.uk/earlytalkboost

Each setting will receive a pack including all of the essential materials an early years practitioner will need to deliver Early Talk Boost:

  • Early Talk Boost Intervention Manual including the Tracker Tool
  • 10 x 8 Jake and Tizzy Story Books
  • Participant Book with Training Notes
