We have created this essential comprehensive training and development programme to fulfil the needs of all your NQT’s regardless of the process they followed to get there. Our programme which starts September 2014, consists of 8 training events and is spread over the whole academic year. Our carefully chosen trainers are Specialist Leaders of Education and as such are experts in their chosen areas of expertise. Aims

  • To develop NQTs into the outstanding practitioners and leaders of the future
  • To provide a network of NQTs who will work together to shape the future of education through a reflective and research based approach to teaching

NQT training with the NDTSA

  • Train with Specialist Leaders of Education who are current outstanding primary specialists who are at the cutting edge of education but also have current experience applying their knowledge to primary children in the modern classroom
  • Learn from Primary Advisors who are at the forefront of local and national initiatives
  • Take part in a comprehensive training and development programme
  • Receive core training focusing on outstanding teaching and learning in maths, literacy, phonics, grammar, science and PE
  • Focus on the effective use of assessment to track progress
  • Take part in practical workshops with outstanding practitioners to understand how assessment can inform planning in your class
  • Focus on subject and project leadership and transition into second year teaching
  • NQTs will be identified to be part of hubs and work alongside SLEs after their NQT year to further develop specialisms and take part in research projects
